View Information About an Asset

To view information about an asset, complete the following steps:

  1. Open any work order that contains the asset.
  2. In the Work Description region, click the link (A or W) to the left of the related Item Asset row. Show me
  3. An Item Asset popup screen appears, with the asset location displayed at the top and the asset, itself, highlighted below. Show me
  4. To view details about the asset you have selected, click the following buttons on the right side of the Item Assets field:

Attributes—Displays the attributes of the selected asset to view or edit. For detailed instructions on how to create an attribute, refer to the Create an Attribute section of this guide.

Address—Displays the address of the selected asset.

Work Orders—Displays a list of work orders associated with the asset.

Documents—Displays a list of documents that are attached to the asset.

Warranties—Displays a list of warranties that are attached to the asset and allows you to filter them to show those that are active, inactive, or either. Also provides an Add Warranty button that allows you to add an ad hoc warranty or a warranty based on a template.
