View, Add, and Resolve Notes for Customers

You can attach notes to customers to keep any kind of relevant information you choose.

View Notes List

To view the notes associated with a customer, complete the following steps:

  1. Access the Customer Details screen for the customer.
  2. In the field at the bottom of the screen, click the down arrow in the heading row.
  3. Select Notes from the drop-down list that appears. Show me

All existing notes relating to the customer are listed on the screen. Show me

View and/or Edit Note Text

To view or edit the text of a note, complete the following steps:

  1. Double-click the note in the Notes list. The Note popup screen opens.
  2. Read or edit the text, then click OK.

Add a Note

To add a new note, complete the following steps:

  1. Click the Add Note button. The Add Note popup screen opens.
  2. Enter the text of your note in the box, then click OK.  

An entry for the note is added to the list.

Note: If this is the first note that is being added to the customer's account, a note icon is added to the menu bar above the list.

Resolve a Note

To resolve a note, complete the following steps:

  1. Double-click the note in the Notes list. The Note popup screen opens.
  2. Select the Resolved? check box, then click OK.
  3. The popup screen closes and the Notes list displays a check mark in the Resolved? column for the relevant note.
