Creating specialties is the first step in creating your knowledge base. Both models and tasks reference specialties, so be sure to add your specialties before models and tasks, especially if you are using import scripts.
Trade specialties can be assigned to roles, users, models, and tasks. Setting up your specialties enables the work order auto-routing feature for craft and specialty. Work orders are tagged with the appropriate specialty for the problem being reported, then are assigned to technicians with that specialty.
To create specialties, complete the following steps:
The Service Specialties screen opens, displaying all of the specialties currently in the system.
The Add Specialty popup screen opens.
