In determining leak rates, the system calculates the Rolling Leak Rate, rather than the Annualized Leak Rate, which was used in earlier releases. The formulas below describe the two different leak rate formulas: in both cases, leak rates are calculated only when refrigerant is added to the system. Because the rolling average uses “since leaks were last repaired” as a means of calculating the rate, the refrigerant transaction Added screen now includes a Fixed Leak Yes/No field.
